The art of being grateful for the blessings you already possess is of itself the most profound form of worship, an incomparable gem of prayer.
Make it a practice to pause for a few moments every day – perhaps just before you go to bed at night – to give thanks. When you pray, do not ask for more blessings; instead ask for wisdom and understanding to make better use of your blessings you currently possess.
And ask for greater understanding so that you may occupy more space in the hearts of your fellow men by rendering more and better service to them tomorrow than you rendered today.
