There is no such thing as passive faith. Action is the first requirement of faith. Words alone will not serve.

“Applied faith” is the application of your faith in yourself, your fellow man, opportunity, and in God – under any circumstances. Applied faith is an essential component of success. Without faith in yourself, you would be unwilling to attempt anything, and without faith in your fellow man, you would be unable to establish the trust and rapport that are a requisite of doing business with others.

And of course, for many, faith in God (in a Higher Power) provides meaning and purpose of life.
