Worry will kill you quicker than work.
Worry is perhaps the most useless of all human activities. As humorist Will Rogers once observed,
“Worry is like a rocking chair. It keeps you busy, but it doesn’t get you anywhere.”
Worry does not solve anything; it only serves to place additional pressure upon you. If there is such a thing as constructive worry, it would be taking a positive approach to potential problems by anticipating them before they occur and developing alternative solutions to them.
If you are with a problem that might evolve in several different directions, for example, try developing a decision tree with a plan of action for each eventuality.
When you have a carefully planned response for every possible problem, you won’t have to waste your time in unproductive, unnecessary worry.
