Our second stop and second episode of Life Behind Bars series was at PUMP GYM Colchester.

For a start: has parking again, which is good.

I really liked the idea of a warehouse building used for a gym. The lights definitely for my taste. I love a bit of a darker places, with warm lights, cool… Has a bit romantic feeling :).

The gym is really big and I guess we were at the peak time which was after 5 PM and still we were able to try different type of equipment and workout.

There are plenty of equipment for cardio, such as treadmill, row, cycle, spin, ski, prowler sled – which I was very exited about but unfortunately already 3 other people were training on it so we haven’t got the chance to try it out unless we are staying longer, but we already spent over 2 hours at the gym.

Also, have a corner for stretching or doing a bit of a floor workout or free weight training (which I like to do very much).

Lifting area goes across the whole building, it’s really big and I’m sure all machines are available what we do need for our training.

Rayaan and I are still not as organised with our training, especially when there are equipment I never used before. But I know each time we are visiting another gym, we’ll more and more organised with our training plan.

But I did in decline bench press PB πŸ™‚

There is a smaller room and I really loved that, here hanging two boxing bag too and more space for floor workouts, squats (because #EveryDayIsABumDay), dead lift as well.

One more addition I liked very much was a sauna included in the changing room – the only problem with that , that we wouldn’t be able to chill after a hard training with Rayaan in the same sauna, as we are not the same gender (if you haven’t noticed πŸ™‚ ). The other problem, that just before I wanted to get my muscles to relax in the sauna, it had been broken because I was unable to use it. That was really a shame.

About the changing room no need to say much. Enough showers, toilets are and what is good, has a few hair dryer too.

To Sum up: I think it is a well designed gym, a “box” with cool lights giving me a feeling from the first I stepped in, the atmosphere was good, and If I recall the music was good enough too.

In general I liked the whole gym with all the equipment to my training, a working sauna, the price is also fairly good with Β£19.99 at this moment with no join fee.

I really liked this gym.

P.s. don’t hesitate to share your thoughts.

Peace&Love
