The man who builds a house always gets more for his work than does the man who tears it down.

In any line of work, in any business, profession, vocation, or calling, it requires far more skill, dedication, and persistence to create something worthwhile than to destroy the creations of others. The vision and craftsmanship that are necessary to construct a thing of beauty – from ordinary materials that are available to anyone – command far greater remuneration than the unskilled labour required to demolish the work.

Make sure you are a builder and creator, not a destroyer, of things and ideas.

Mostly, it is a matter of attitude.

When you make it a habit to search for creative, imaginative ideas, to look for better ways to do the same old things, you will become a builder.
