With ripe fruit and raw vegetables, you can never overeat.

Evolution may not have taught human beings to find great pleasuring eating foods that are best for us, but our digestive system haven’t fully adapted to handle effectively some of the things we may like most. It requires a tremendous amount of energy, for example, to digest meats and other heavy foods, energy that could otherwise be directed toward the achievement of something more constructive than simply processing food.

It is virtually impossible, however, to eat more raw vegetables and ripe fruit than is good  for you. Such foods have little fat content, your body processes them more easily, and they provide nutrients that are quickly transformed into energy.
